The Unicorn Foundation is a not for profit corporation whose goal is the promotion of humane relationships with animals. By teaching, researching, and analyzing species specific behavior we strive to find and implement appropriate modification practices to enhance the communication between each species and humans. Behaviors that are of economic, recreational, or competitive importance are somewhat difficult to study clinically, but those behaviors are our targets!
We recommend the book Behavior Modification for the Stable Person,
by Deborah Andoetoe. It deals with the equine experience. The
book also covers detailed equine modification programs, ensuring a
great training situation for you and your horse.
Become a Unicorn Foundation certified animal behaviorist! Our interns embark on a course of study that will lead them into a career as an animal behaviorist. Our behaviorists find jobs as animal trainers working with their chosen animal species! If your goal is simply to have a better understanding of your own companion, we offer courses which will help you find that as well.
